Rivercliff offers two worship services each Sunday (click here for map and directions):

Beginning in September 2010
    • 8:30am - Contemporary Service with communion offered on 1st and 3rd Sundays
    • 11:00am - Traditional Service with communion offered on 2nd and 4th Sundays
    • Communion is offered at both services on fifth Sundays

NOTE: Adult Bible Study and Sunday School are offered during the 9:35 hour (moving to 9:45am in September!); whichever service you attend, we encourage you to plan to attend Bible Study as well!

Our Traditional worship services are liturgical in nature, meaning that we follow an intentional and carefully planned arrangement for the service.  In our case, this is typically drawn from The Lutheran Service Book.  The music in our Traditional worship services encompasses traditional Lutheran hymns, and is accompanied by an organ and, often, a choir.

Our Contemporary worship service is similar in structure to the Traditional service, but incorporates more contemporary music and a more relaxed atmosphere.  There is no bulletin or hymnal used; rather, the spoken words and lyrics to the songs are projected on a screen at the front of the sanctuary.

The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on alternate Sundays.  On the first and third Sundays of the month, communion is offered at the early services, and it is offered at the late service on the second and fourth Sunday of each month.  When there is a fifth Sunday in a month, we offer Holy Communion at BOTH services.
